I am used to using emacs type commands in terminals and now I discovered a funny behaviour in "konsole" that I cannot correct.

I am using ctrl-k to cut the rest of the line from the cursor and in emacs this also copies the material that was cut and so the next ctrl-y pastes it to the cursor. Not in konsole currently. It does work in gnome-terminal as it should, but not in konsole. I suspect this might be a KDE issue, because when I test it in gnome-terminal it works, but the content does not show up in the KDE clipboard. This is probably OK, but I would like to have the same behaviour in konsole.

In case it makes any difference, I am using Linux Mint 16 and KDE 4.11. Could someone help? Thanks.
