Given the recent release of ChromeOS as open source project, what are some of the best/most interesting web applications you know?

I'm looking for things like Office Word WebApp, Photoshop Express, JSLint, 280 slides and such.
But I'm not looking for things like YouTube, Hulu, Google, SuperUser or reddit.

Really not a question. You mention a browser, then talk about Web Apps like it's a general term. – Josh K Nov 23 at 21:55

I do not understand the question. – johnny Nov 23 at 21:57

My close vote is in for this question as orginally stated. Web apps could be 1000's of things in some peoples eyes. Perhaps this could be narrowed down a bit in some way? This in my opinion just sounds like "what is your favorite application?", except for web ones. – Troggy Nov 23 at 22:14

"What's your favourite application" questions stay open. At least, unless they're duplicates, which this one isn't. – Phoshi Nov 23 at 22:17

It's difficult to tell what is being asked here. This question is ambiguous, vague, or rhetorical and cannot be reasonably answered in its current form.

To some extent (if you can call it an application) - Google

... apart from ones I make for clients, these are pretty much the only "apps" I use on a daily basis, but it really depends on your definition of an application and not just a website, as I could list a heck of a load more... I am thinking of application as a "two way website / interactive (more than just comments) "... So, Slashdot and Engadget are out as it is news only, and despite a few of my favourite sites like Gateworld, it doesn't actually feel like an application.

hotmail? Hello 1999! :P – Phoshi Nov 23 at 22:02
:P... +1 for funny! I do use Gmail, but I just can't get used to conversation view / the way it threads... and I have used hotmail for over 10 years (so you are correct with 1999!)... It really suits my needs and I haven't felt the need to move over - I may do soon though. – Wil Nov 23 at 22:07
I actually still use hotmail, only because I don't email ever, but I know I'm wrong! :P even so, gmail is tempting, despite never using it. – Phoshi Nov 23 at 22:12
