I just switched from Digsby to Pidgin after I heard/saw in the installer that they steal your CPU cycles.

I was wondering if there were any safe (non-spyware/non-cpu cycle stealer/all other manner of bad things...) plugins for using ping.fm to update Twitter and Facebook using pidgin.

Regarding Digsby stealing your CPU cycles, you may be a couple months behind: blog.digsby.com/archives/732 – Chris_K Nov 25 '09 at 5:30
I understand the concern, but I don't consider it "stealing" because they do tell you that they're going to do it. They also allow you to opt out, don't they? – Miss Cellanie Nov 25 '09 at 6:18
@Cellanie Yes they do...if you install it, I'm not sure this is true if you just get an update to the software every once in a while – leeand00 Nov 25 '09 at 20:54
Even so I'd like to switch to something less evil. – leeand00 Nov 25 '09 at 20:55
