Are there any desktop clients for google wave?

As an in-browser-app google wave seems rather slow at times. Are there any wave clients that run natively (if not cross-platform, then linux, please) ?

Google provides a very primitive text-mode console client as an example. However, it can't be used to connect to the Google Wave server yet, you'll have to set up your own server to try it.

As of now it seems there's no Google Wave Desktop notifier, as a native app for Linux. There is one, however

• As a Firefox addon
• A Windows program which runs fine using WINE
• An Adobe AIR application
