I am using a clipboard manager (ClipboardMagic, supports series of pastes with a keyboard shortcut). When I create a new message in outlook 2010 and try to use the shortcut to paste the email address in the to field. It shows a dialog box to Move the message to different folders.

The clipboard supports CTRL + SHIFT + [AnyKey], I have tried to set different keys in the clipboard manager (w,d,e,p) but every time the result is same with outlook. It does not paste the email address, instead it shows a dialog box saying Move the Item To.

The shortcut keys are working fine if used in notepad.

The question is how can we make this shortcut work in Outlook.

What have you researched or tried to resolve this? Have you contacted CyberMatrix (makers of ClipboardMagic)? – CharlieRB May 23 '14 at 12:25
I have not contacted CyberMatrix yet as I thought it has something to do with the selection of Shortcut Keys. I have also searched for known key combinations for outlook just to figure out if I am overlapping with some existing one and outlook just handles it internally first before Clipboard Magic gets to process it. As I mentioned, I tried to test the functionality with different Shortcut key combinations and found out that even if a key combination does not exists in outlook, when I define it in Clipboard Magic, outlook starts to behave like it has a shortcut to Move Item Dialog. – ResVic May 23 '14 at 15:02
@CharlieRB You pointed me in the right direction. CyberMatrix acknowledged this as a bug, and have released the latest version which does not have this problem in ClipboardMagic. – ResVic May 27 '14 at 15:24
Glad to hear you have an answer. – CharlieRB May 27 '14 at 16:00
