I would like to integrate a Google search in another system, but ran into specific issue with the Google "site:xxx" search, which this question is related to.

This question is about understanding why I am having an issue with certain websites.

I want to

  • enter site to search
  • search all pages related to this site
  • be able to limit to range of dates

Working example: https://www.google.se/search?q=site%3Aindeed.com+gardener&ie=utf-8&oe=utf-8&aq=t&rls=org.mozilla:en-US:official&client=firefox-a&channel=sb&gfe_rd=cr&ei=XeiBU8PtDImcwwOM2oGYCg#channel=sb&q=site:indeed.com+gardener&rls=org.mozilla:en-US:official&tbs=qdr:m

My problem: Using the same technique on some websites gives incorrect hits, which I think is related to an issue in how they update their databases.

Problematic examples: 1 without time constraint this works: https://www.google.se/search?q=site:arbetsformedlingen.se+bioinformatic+OR+bioinformatician+OR+bioinformatics&hl=en&noj=1&biw=1332&bih=809&tbas=0

With time constraint this does not work: https://www.google.se/search?q=site:arbetsformedlingen.se+bioinformatic+OR+bioinformatician+OR+bioinformatics&hl=en&noj=1&tbas=0&source=lnt&tbs=qdr:y&sa=X&ei=1-iBU6D1KYaVyQPFzYC4CA&ved=0CBgQpwUoBQ&biw=1332&bih=809

I have searched the web (for a short time) but not found why my example does not work. Many thanks in advance.
