My windows 7 hard drive is rapidly losing disc space even after a temp file clean, a registry fix and a large file search. My other drive is not losing space at all.

When it first began I 3 gigs of space in a very short amount of time with no new downloads or installations. After completing a temp file clean and registry fix it regained the lost space, but a week later lost 4 gigs of space suddenly. Every week I complete the same process but over time less and less space is recovered. I now have only 1.27 gigs of space left on my hard drive and cannot find a reason why it's losing the space.

Any ideas on what the problem is and how to fix it? Anything is much appreciated!
