The time command is great for measuring how long a command takes to run. But the command I'm testing launches a number of subprocesses during its execution, and I'd like to get a breakdown of the time taken on each of those as well (or at the very least, get separate stats for the process itself vs subprocesses). Is there any way to do this, short of a custom library and LD_PRELOAD trickery?
