Why has internet sharing on htc tytn II stopped working all of a sudden?

It worked fine on Windows 7 RC1 and on Ubuntu Linux 8.10 with out a problem, but now it does not work anymore. I do not know what I could have changed inadvertently. I have also reset the phone to factory settings, but it still does not work. It does say on the phone that it is connected, but no websites load in the browser.

I did not retag your question myself as you are a better judge for this... but if the phone stopped working all of a sudden on both platforms chances are your question has nothing to do with either ubuntu or windows 7, but barely with your hardware (updated firmware on the phone, broken connector on the computer...). – mac Nov 30 at 14:15
