I just want to simply copy all images inside a powerpoint presentation to a folder. How can I do that?

Saving your presentation as a web page will create a folder including images from the presentation.

If you select Save As > Web Page (*.htm; *.html)

In the folder your save your presentation, PowerPoint will create a folder titled [your saved filename]_files within which will be a bunch of files, some of which will be the images from your presentation.
