On an idle system, the two items highest on the powertop list are pulseaudio and snd_hda_intel (>70 events/s each, twice as high as the next item). This is the case even when nothing is using the audio devices.

Is there some good reason for that? Is there a way to lower the number of events a bit? The soundcard is already put in powersave mode using /sys/module/snd_hda_intel/parameters/power_save

Running on kernel 3.15.2 with pulseaudio 5.0.
