When my Mac (Mac OS X 10.6.2, Snow Leopard) goes to display save mode, the mouse cursor always ends up in the top left corner.

This is annoying, because this interferes with Elgato EyeTV's fullscreen mode. When the cursor is in the top left corner, the menu bar stays in the foreground.

Try disabling Exposé hot corners and see if that helps. – Nippysaurus Dec 16 '09 at 4:54
Exposé hot corners were never active. But I have disabled putting the screen to sleep now, which has solved the problem. As this is a strict home theater computer, this is feasible. I turn off the video beamer when I don't use it, anyway. – Arnotron Dec 21 '09 at 18:30
Cannot reproduce on 10.6.7 when entering display sleep manually by pressing Ctrl-Shift-Eject. – Daniel Beck May 1 '11 at 8:21
