I have set up a simple Ubuntu 14.04 just installing Asterisk (apt-get update && apt-get upgrade && apt-get install asterisk).

When I try to log in from my client (Telephone for OS X) I get the following on the server:

[Dec 16 14:39:32] NOTICE[1415]: chan_sip.c:28104 handle_request_register: Registration from '"100" <sip:[email protected]>' failed for '10.0.83.202:51966' - Wrong password

This is with debugging enabled (sip set debug on):

ubuntu*CLI> sip set debug on

My client is at 10.0.83.202, My server is at 10.0.83.14, all are on local network. I am not intending to use the SIP server from external network at this time.

I have reinstalled Asterisk three times without any improvement. Always incorrect password and I am sure I type it in correct.

What have I done wrong? Is this a bug?
