I need to burn CDs (maybe DVDs too) from images (both bin/cue and iso format), and also from files. What is a good software to handle this?

Note that I don't have the software that may have come with the drive, but I'm assuming it works because I can burn files with Explorer. I just need something that can handle images too.

I love ImgBurn. It does all the things you mentioned, and it's free.

+1, just burned a CD and a DVD, thanks. – hyperslug Jul 24 '09 at 18:03
the program isn't very userfriendly imo, but it does it all. – Natrium Aug 25 '09 at 12:31

Will perform all of the above, and more.

InfraRecorder has always been my utility of choice. Also has a 64-bit version.

I can't make audio-cd's with this – Natrium Aug 25 '09 at 12:29
The OP wanted to burn images/files to disc, not make audio CDs. – BenA Aug 25 '09 at 12:32

I use CDBurnerXP myself, but here is a brief list of free cd burners other than the ubiquitous Nero (payware, but the best bang for your buck).

Explore & Burn might do it
