I really dig the high-def content on iTunes, but not being able to do whatever I want with the file is becoming a show-stopper. Are there any online stores where I can buy movies without restrictions?

Questions on Super User are expected to generally relate to computer software or computer hardware, within the scope defined in the faq.

Not really. The major content producers are still paranoid and insist on DRM schemes to limit what you can do. This is not likely to change anytime soon. You might find an indie studio offering DRM-free video files, and places like the Internet Archive and Creative Commons' video page are good places to look for DRM-free content. But don't expect to find the latest blockbuster movies or episodes of your favorite network TV show in a DRM-free format. | |||
