I am searching some ancient Greek authors on Project Gutenberg and Google with no success. Where else can I find free e-books?

  • Homer
  • Plato

Scribd is pretty good. They may not always be published books you find on there, but sometimes people's research and assignments which can be just as good for information.This way the information is summarized already, less reading for you!

Scribd allows you to download in PDF or TXT format, which can easily be converted to Mobi with Mobipocket eBook Creator.

Bittorrent! Torrenting public domain books is perfectly legal (as long as the particular ebook version is also freely licensed). Pirate Bay, Isohunt, etc. all have a wide selection of legal ebooks.
