I installed Ubuntu in my laptop with Wubi. I installed the one with 5 GB capacity. When I rebooted for the first time after installation its just getting switched off. What might be the reason? What should be done?

Edit: The menu is getting displayed with XP and Ubuntu. When Ubuntu is selected, it goes in, some installation is done, but after that nothing happens. It just gets switched off. I tried with demo mode, normal mode also.

It happens to me too. The monitor goes black (with signal but black) and it seems to be working. I don't know. If I press Ctrl+Alt+Fn for going some character terminal it works, but nothing with graphics mode. I think it's a video card problem, but I don't get to run it with a lower graphic mode. – helios Feb 21 '10 at 18:08
