I'm looking a super simple way to record URLs for me and family and friends, something preferably with zero ads and no signup and the simplest interface just for saving URLs quick on any computer that you can access at any time and point other people to "all your links".

Questions on Super User are expected to generally relate to computer software or computer hardware, within the scope defined in the faq.

I use Delicious.com with the Delicious Firefox extension. Command-D (or control-D) brings up a dialog to add and tag any page. Command-B (or control-B) brings up a sidebar menu.

The question is about the best online bookmarking service but the questions says no signups, so I guess this won't qualify. Regardless, I figured I would mention it. My favorite is XMarks. It has extensions/plugins for Firefox and other browsers. It synchronizes bookmarks. I can seamlessly do something on my MacBook then swivel my chair to go do something else on my computer and I will have the exact set of bookmarks. You can also view your bookmarks on the site by logging into your account. You can also choose if you want, to synchronize usernames and passwords. Pair this up with Sxipper, and you have seamless and near instant credentials synchronization. It's the best way in my opinion to synchronize your browser's bookmarks and login credentials across multiple computers. This saves you from having duplicates and from having to keep typing your passwords to log into websites.

Another option is Instapaper. It has a very simple interface and unobstrusive ads. It can be accessed without a password, only a username that identifies the set of bookmarks.

Additionally to bookmarking, Diigo also allows you to highlight a text in your bookmarked page. It lets you quickly recover in memory what was the article about.
