Is it possible to have

  1. Alt-Esc window switching behavior (instant switch, no need to release key), with
  2. Alt-Tab style preview (thumbnails in a translucent pane)

at the same time in Windows Vista?

Forgive me if I've misunderstood, but I think the two objectives are contradictory or incompatible. If the switching is instant, then there is no time to show a thumbnail. – outsideblasts Jan 17 '10 at 23:47
Sorry for the confusion... basically the point is: I want the window switching to occur immediately without dismissing the preview pane. – netvope Jan 18 '10 at 2:46
