I'm assuming various clients will need to be run in the background for VoiceOver to listen in on, but does anyone have Automator/AppleScript ideas to get this to work?

Maybe maciverse.com/4-steps-to-turn-rss-feeds-into-audio-files.html is what you're looking for. But you may want to clarify your question a bit as there are many ways to do this. – cOle2 Jan 18 '10 at 20:30
