What is the best software for desktop recording?
Free desktop recording / screencasting on windows

I need to do a website presentation to some of my friends. I have been searching on Google, and it returns thousands of records. I don't want to try them one by one and was wondering can anyone recommend a free and good one with your experience.

Many thanks.

CamStudio is able to record all screen and audio activity on your computer and create industry-standard AVI video files and using its built-in SWF Producer can turn those AVIs into lean, mean, bandwidth-friendly Streaming Flash videos (SWFs).

CamStudio is free open source software (FOSS).

If you are using Mac OS X Snow Leopard, QuickTime Player will record screencasts with audio.
