My Laptop (a Toshiba Satellite Pro P300 running Vista) is having trouble connecting to my wireless router. Other laptops are using the wireless, but it's not reached capacity. The laptop recognises (with a strong signal) that there is wireless internet, and I can connect via the router with a cable because this happens automatically. My problem is this... When I click "connect" (for example in the network and sharing centre), the dialogue box closes and nothing else happens.

Is Vista managing the wireless connection or is there a Toshiba application? –  Dave M Jan 20 '10 at 19:54
Yeah the Toshiba "ConfigFree" stuff can be annoying as heck. :) –  Ƭᴇcʜιᴇ007 Jan 20 '10 at 20:01

as per my knowledge and the problems i have seen, i will suggest you to install the drivers of the Wi-fi(Wireless Fidelity). and then try to connect with the router.

if you are having some problem than get a snap-shot of it. i will research after that one. and try to solve the problem.

Hope it will help you.
