I recently purchased an iPhone. I'm interested in getting the iPhone to use Verizon to make phone calls instead of AT&T. Any suggestions?

Was typing you this answer, so I figured I'd comment so you know: Not possible. The iPhone is GSM phone for use on ATT's network. Verizon is a CDMA network. Would never work unless Apple releases a CDMA iPhone. – th3dude19 Jan 22 at 22:29
Please see the FAQ: superuser.com/faq for more information on what type of questions Super User is intended for. We want to keep superuser to computer hardware and software related questions. – Troggy Jan 22 at 22:30
@th3dude19: if it can't be done, why are there videos of people doing it? youtube.com/… – Jon Tefft Jan 22 at 22:34
@Jon: Apple has never released an iphone with the physical hardware to support Verizon's CDMA networks. There is no hack you can do to make it work. The unlocks are to allow use on other GSM networks such as TMobile in the US for example. Also, be careful not to believe everything you see/read on the Internet. – Troggy Jan 22 at 22:48
