i have to fix a PC for a friend - and - bought RAM cause 256 MB SDRAM PC133 is not enough for WinXP.

So i bought 2x 512 MB SDRAM PC133 - but if i insert one of it - doesnt matter which - the PC wont boot ( there are some HDD Noises ).

There are no Beeps (even if it boots with the old ram)

I think theres no speaker or something like that

I updated the bios to the versoon of 2003 (latest one) - same thing here I changed the RAM latency to the highest in case the ram sucks - same thing - doenst boot

Does anyone has an idea what i can test/do now?
