Same thing. It seems Skype adds these duplicates every time it starts. In my case I ended with more than 10 duplicates for every contacts list. Skype version 7.21.85.100. The only option I found is to fix skype's local database manually (or write a sql script for that :)). Skype uses SQLite to store it's data in %APPDATA%\Skype\, so it can be changed with ...

There is no way to Export the Computers and Contacts, but there is a way to 'share' them. If you have more than one account that you want to 'merge', login to the 'secondary' account and add the 'primary account' as Contact. You can then Share Groups of Computers with the Primary contact with either Read, Read Write, or Full Control. ( I used Full Control )...

This is a known bug in Skype dating from this year. Every major revision of Skype seems to fix some problems, but also to create new ones which are sometimes never fixed. The only known remedy to the duplicates problem as supplied by a Skype Community Ambassador named ruwim is : This erroneous behaviour is easily reproducible on the latest Skype 7.18....

First: the names that pop up when you start typing into the To: field are not linked to your contacts, it's its own list (of addresses you previously entered into the To field). Anyhow, to the question at hand: AFAIK There's no native way to search Outlook contacts by domain name. To can gain that ability you'll probably have to resort to a 3rd party plug-...

Do you mean you want to just clear out the existing address book and then import a csv file with all the current contacts you need? This method is actually great in my experience as you can save backups csv files, update them, and import them across different programs...even map custom fields if you want! To edit the csv file, you can use Excel (or ...

The different CSV formats are: Text (Tab delimited) This creates a text document with your cells separated by tabs. Formatted Text (space delimited) This uses space to separate cell data. CSV (...

It seems like with the latest 7.22.0.109 there is no even need to clean up: once you upgrade, multiple lists just disappear.

Apparently fixed in 7.22.0.104 (from www.skype.com/go/getskype-full), but it can mess up the existing groups. I suspect that the best solution would be upgrading to it after manually removing the duplicated lists.

I tried a bit of exploring and found the solution. So far the groups have not come back. Go to People app website and sign in to your Microsoft account (same account that you use for Skype). Make sure you are signed in to Skype Desktop as well. In the People site, on the left side, find each Skype list (Messenger group; hereafter called "group") you want ...

Another way that works on 10.10: Configure your exchange account in Systems Preferences/Internet Accounts. Open the contacts app. In the left hand bar, select Exchange/Contacts, then drag and drop all the contacts you want to the iCloud section.

Removing duplicates from your list with Excel: Paste your complete list into Column A. Sort the entire column alphabetically (A > Z). Select Column B, enter the following into the "formula" box =IF(TRIM(A1)=TRIM(A2),"",TRIM(A1)) Run the formula. Keeping Column B still selected, go to the menu: Edit > Fill > Down. Column B will fill up an updated ...
