About

A display driver is software that allows the operating system to interface with graphics hardware. Video hardware can be integrated into the motherboard or the CPU (often called integrated graphics), but most modern desktop motherboards and many laptop motherboards also provide expansion ports to which a graphics card can be connected. An operating system can use an integrated graphics driver, a discrete graphics card driver or both drivers if the computer has both integrated and discrete graphics processors.
