You'll have to add the .inc extension to MMDocumentTypes.xml. You haven't indicated what version of Dreamweaver you're using, or your operating system, so I'll have to guess Windows is your OS from your other questions. On Windows 7 and Vista, the file is located at: C:\Program Files (x86)\Adobe\Adobe Dreamweaver CS4\configuration\DocumentTypes\...

Take a look at Sed. You can easily achieve your goal by only one command line sed -e "s/Text_1/TextA/" -e "s/Text1/TextB/" <your_file.txt>your_file_new.txt

Since Notepad++ 6.0 it is actually possible without scripts using the following technique: Find: Text_1 and Replace with: Text_A Find: Text2 and Replace with: TextB Find: (Text_1)|(Text2) Replace: (?1Text_A)(?2TextB) The general syntax is: Find: (FindA)|(FindB)|(FindC)... Replace: (?1ReplaceA)(?2ReplaceB)(?3ReplaceC)... ?1 refers to the ...

I'd guess that it's using custom text fields rather than using the Cocoa API - if so, they need to rewrite it to use the modern API, rather than a simple fix.

It's been a while since I used Dreamweaver (defected to Expression Web) but from my understanding there is no pre-set shortcut(s) for commenting code. You may be able to tie you're own to one via Edit > Keyboard Shortcuts > Snippets > Comments > (Comment Single Line or Comment Multi Line). I'm not sure if there's a way to have it remove them. Info found ...

Duplicate specification of attribute "ALIGN" <td align="center" align="134" class="footer" valign="bottom"> UPDATE: I used the online tool from http://validator.w3.org/check

As others have said, the line of code you highlighted: <td align="center" align="134" class="footer" valign="bottom"> has the align attribute set twice. The second (134) isn't a valid value for align. Outside that, though, you've actually got a number of other problems: you're using the tags <forwardtoafriend>, <unsubscribe>, <...

I needed to check "Use Passive FTP" ... I would have tried this before asking if I had seen the option but Dreamweaver doesn't show it by default until you go into advanced settings.

CTRL+D in Notepad++ just means "Duplicate current line". I don't believe there's an equivalent in DW. Perhaps use Autohotkey (or alike) to create a macro that moves to the start of the line, then selects to the end of the line, then inserts a blank line below, and then inserts your copied line: Then bind that to CTRL+D (or whatever). ^d:: SendInput {...

There are 2 things which may help, depending on your situation Code view is updated automatically when you make changes in Design view. However, after making changes in Code view, you must manually update the document in Design view by clicking in Design view or pressing F5. I believe that the problem is with the default styling of Notepad++ for CSS files. Go to the menu entry of Settings / Style Configurator, then click on CSS and TAG, getting this : You will notice that the font used is @Batang (which I personally never heard of or used). This font does not look like it is a monospace font. Change the font to the default ...

Same problem here. After latest Win 8.1 update FTP is failing in exactly the same way as described above. Doing the same with two FTP clients (DW and Filezilla) uploading to two different servers. Temporary fix here is to use FireFTP in Firefox. The only one I have tried that doesn't have the problem.

John Manly's answer works for Adobe CC as of the 2014 update. Sadly that option doesn't exist in pre-CC and it sounds like Adobe have no plans to fix this. If you're on CS6 on Windows, there's a hack described here which works on Windows 7 and 8. Warning: it involves hacking the registry, to enable 'external manifests'. See this question regarding possible ...

This isn't a "Finder thing." It's an application thing. Unless they are using some sort of Finder hook to display files. Here is the answer I received from Panic: Hey Josh, It's more of a Mac OS X convention than the Finder prohibiting us from doing something. It's something we're investigating for the future. For example, Transmit and ...

Dreamweaver can create a cache file in which to store information about all the links in your local folder. This cache file is updated invisibly as you add, change or delete links on your local site. This can have as effect the extreme slow-down of file copy operations. To disable, use the Edit > Preference menu to bring up the Preferences Dialog. In the ...

Dreamweaver CS5/Mac is pretty darn flexible; it's really a question of what it is exactly that you're trying to do. The Application Bar can be turned off (and on again) by choosing Window > Application Bar. If you have multiple documents you want to combine into a single tabbed window, choose Window > Combine as Tabs. The panels are a little trickier, ...

As of CS5.5 on Windows 7 the file exists twice. Once in the location mentioned by John T, but also in: c:\Users\USERNAME\AppData\Roaming\Adobe\Dreamweaver CS5.5\en_US\Configuration\DocumentTypes\ If you dont change this file, the color coding won't work.

Using Notepad++, You can either Open all files containing the words you want to replace and make use of Find / Replace in all open files Use Find / Replace in files Record a macro performing the find and replace options and play it back

You're better off running Find & Replace twice, because you have two different replacements happening. However, there should be very little tradeoff in processing time. Consider the following: Running Find & Replace once, searching term by term: Get Term Does term match? If so, replace term Get Next Term ... For running purposes, we'll ...

TortoiseSVN is not a Subversion server - it's just a client. You need to have a Subversion server to connect to with Dreamweaver. If you are using Windows, VisualSVN Standard Edition is free to use. If you do not have a separate machine to use as a server, you can use a virtual machine. You may be able to run the server on the same machine, but I have ...

I was having the same problem, although with a different file type. Do you have a MMDocumentTypes.xml file in C:\Users\Sam\AppData\Roaming\Adobe\Dreamweaver CS5\en_US\Configuration\DocumentTypes? If so, I would add the .ast extension to it.

When you check out a file with Dreamweaver, it creates a lock file on the remote server which is just a text file with an LCK extension containing the name and email of the person who checked the file out. For example, if I check out the file test.txt, a test.txt.LCK file will be placed on the remote server with the following text as its content: Adam ...
