Internet Explorer 10 is a web browser developed by Microsoft, and the successor to Internet Explorer 9. It was released along with Windows 8 in October 2012 as both Modern and desktop apps, and for Windows 7 in February 2013 (desktop version only). It does not run on earlier versions of Windows.
IE10 adds support for many new CSS3 and HTML5 features, and on Windows 8 includes a built-in Flash Player. The user interface in the desktop version is largely unchanged from IE9, with the exception of some minor refinements.
On Windows 8, IE10 is also available as a "Metro" application, which uses a completely different UI, designed to be touch-friendly and to be hidden when not in use. This version of IE10 cannot use any add-ons or plug-ins, except for a limited version of the built-in Flash Player.
