Sound is a wave that is an oscillation of pressure transmitted through solid, liquid or gas and is composed of frequencies within the range of hearing for a particular organism. In computers, sound may refer to the sound that is played when an event happens, the output of sound through computer chips and or computer speakers, the processing of sound through specific programs or even a noise that is heard coming from within the computer or from a component of the computer (e.g. clicking from a hard disk drive).
