Windows Vista, released in 2007, is Microsoft's follow up to Windows XP. It was succeeded in 2009 by the release of Windows 7.

Vista included many security improvements, including Address Layout Space Randomization, which randomizes the location of programs in memory to make a memory injection attack harder, uac, a redesign of its network stack, and efs.
