The Linksys WRT54G series is a popular line of wireless routers introduced in 2002. These routers provide 802.11b/g wireless connectivity for speeds up to 54 Mbps and are built around 32-bit MIPS processors. Many models have firmware that can be replaced with community-maintained, custom operating systems such as OpenWrt or DD-WRT, which can greatly expand their functionality.
