Does the BIOS show the correct size(256GB)? And does Windows Disk Manger show the same size(256GB)? If not (and shows 90GB in both situations) then you have a hardware issue. Partition manger should easily increase the partition space.. if it cant.. then its not a partition error ...

@sblair I used freeNAS'es ZFS RAID5 option.. I know its software and slower.. but its not bad. I wanted the most out of 4TB and sacrificing 1TB for full redundancy is amazing. So i only have 2.9TB But if any disk starts causing problems its very easy to replace.

Hot Swap on a production environment is critical. At home? Will your mama shout at you cause she cant.. ummm save photos to the nas? Power down to swap a hard drive an using the hardware raid to resyc is an amazing trade off at home with this machine. Using ZFS.. you just shut down replace the broken drive. boot up and it resilvers in the background.. all for about £300 compared to £3000 corporate server..

comment What comprises the 'free Physical memory' in task manager?
Like phonebus said, its cacheing. Stuff is kept in memory jsut in case you might use it soon again.. but its not committed- so if you run low on RAM its starts dumping this uncommited ram for active processes that need it now. On machines with 2/4gb this is not noticeable because we constantly run new processes and this cahced ram gets dumped quicker. Nothing to worry about.

comment Change screen area available to apps and OS because of dead pixels
not really possible- unless you go down to driver level. It is a pain in the but and needed this once in linux too. due to a oddly sized screen. never found an easy solution..because there was no driver for that screen in linux.. so start looking into the driver options.

Yea- because when you isntall Windows Server with Exchange.. It is there out of the box no messing around. Setting up other users is easy as pie.. because the exhange sets up the other users on other domain users.. in 1 click.. user1 sent to user2 .. isntant. Installing 3rd party.. you will spend half your life configuring smtp/pop accounts.. ontop of a server

comment How to allow non-admin users to run a VBS script that requires higher privileges?
VBScript cannot do that unfortunalty :( There are programs to force an elevation.. but you still need to put the password in.. is that what you want? But doing it silently ... no Why? Because of hackers who made life hell at MS so now we have all this bollocks security.. The only way is to write a .NET app and sign it with a UAC certificate for your domain/computer so it can securely elevate it self silently...
