firefox -no-remote -P brings up the profile manager for me. Anyway, you can avoid dealing with the Profile Manager at all using the -profile switch as described in my answer.

In office 2010 you can just (1) Paste - (2) press CTRL - (3) then the shortcut for the mode you need ("V" for "values only").

@DanielBeck: Thanks for the tip! Somehow I missed it when you posted it. Note to other readers: you will need the -n flag (as in open -n -a Firefox.app --args -no-remote -P ...) to open multiple instances, as by default open focuses the existing application.
