Have a look at netem. Not sure if it works on OSX however.

comment Can't use Portable Hard Drive formatted under linux with Windows
Linux still does not fully support NTFS. You should use FAT32 if you want true filesystem interoperability between Linux and Windows.

comment How to install exe versions of linux utilities on windows?
Better idea. Put such utilities in a separate directory and modify your %PATH% to include that directory.

comment Is there a way to run a specific script with every “halt” and “reboot” command on Linux?
Your answer assumes a SystemV-like init system. This is not always the case on Linux distributions.

comment Retrieve/decrypt Windows 7 product key from Linux
If your firmware is UEFI-based, the license key is actually stored in the ACPI MSDM table so it persists across a reboot. If so, see blog.fpmurphy.com for details on how to recover it.

comment Increase screen resolution in VirtualBox guest without VirtualBox guest additions?
I am not in front of a VB installation but as far as I recall, you need to install the DKMS module from the Guest Additions if you want higher screen resolution.

comment How to calculate subnet of your interface based on the destination IP and subnet?
You may also need to connect to the switch console and see if it is configured correctly for the ports you are using. Also trying pinging from the switch to the powercontroller if your switch OS supports the ping command.

comment Virtual Box internet connection issues
You need to tell us how you are connecting from your PC to the Internet. You need to have some sort of router in place and suitably configured to handle both addresses

comment Normal ISO to UEFI bootable ISO converter?
There is no open source off the shelf tool for doing what you want to do. If you have sufficient skills, you can add UEFI support to an existing ISO but it is not for the faint-hearted.

If the VMs are all on one physical host, as your question implies, why not create a host-only network between the VMs?

comment Can't make an iso of burned DVD-R
Until you solve the problem of creating a valid ISO, you are not going to be able to mount it as a loopback device on Linux.
