How would I reinstall the grub-efi bootloader on Fedora Linux? After installing a new kernel a single call to efibootmgr is sufficient to update the entry in the UEFI menu. I don't know about rEFInd or SHIM. I personally don't chain multiple boot loaders. All operating systems are added to the UEFI boot menu and it's working perfectly fine. |

How would I reinstall the grub-efi bootloader on Fedora Linux? Why are you using grub if you have UEFI? What advantage does chaining the two boot loaders provide? |

Can mutt run external scripts based upon inbox rules? There is no way to do that with mutt. The folder hooks are only triggered if you enter the folder, not when a message arrives in that folder. It's pretty straight forward if you route you mail through maildrop or procmail, though. |

What exactly is my computer doing when I format a disk? You don't need to format your drive to store data. You can perfectly use it and write data on it without formatting and without a file system. I would say you need to format to be able to easily manage the data on a disk, which is considerably more difficult if you don't use a file system. |

Lossless universal video format Since you're getting 12GiB files I assume that you use 24Bit colour depth. The uncompressed video data stream is about 4GiB per minute. That's a huge amount of data. What you want is about 170MiB per minute. Regardless of the codec you choose you can only achieve this with a static scene without much movement. I'm afraid you have to relax the contraint to be lossless, reduce the frame rate or tolerate a larger file size. |

Disable the “You've gone full screen” notification in Chrome Sorry, but I fail to see the security problem here. 1) The user initiates going full-screen, it's nothing that happens automatically. Why do I need to watch at a box telling me that I pressed F11 after I just actively pressed F11? 2) If the full-screen view would try to fool me and display a desktop which looks like mine I would see the smaller desktop before, since going full-screen does not change the web page. I don't see a security problem here. |

Is it possible in vim to create a split view for command line use? There are plugins and/or patches to accomplish that. But you will sooner or later experience some quirks. My suggestion is to use a full-featured lightweight terminal instead, or screen/tmux. |
