Color discrimination is racism. Be it skin color or passport color.

I no longer look at the questions in stackoverflow. It is more and more becoming a task of finding duplicates of questions, rather than contributing to a good question.

I am a PhD student currently working on robotic skins, both their firmware and their real-time driver/software. My bachelors had been in Software Engineering.

I'm implementing a unified interface to different real-time subsystems, called urt.

I am also writing a compiler that reads a language derived from markdown and generates software documentation. I strongly believe DoxyGen and the like use a very bad method (documentation mixed with code). Check out the DocThis! compiler if you are interested (it works, but I still have a lot of features in mind to add to it). Here is a sample output.

Never imagined how much I would miss evince before I had to work in Windows. Thanks for mentioning it here, I thought it's just for Linux.

@sttr, haha, yeah I came to that conclusion after I wrote the comment. Thanks for the effort, but I'm contemplating whether I should accept the second answer, since while your solution solves my problem, the other answer is probably more fit for future visitors since it matches the question title.

Yeah, but that is almost always empty and very few programs install shortcuts there. There are a lot of applications that get themselves in startup (which can be seen for example through msconfig) and I doubt they present themselves as files other than their original .exe file.

Cool! Didn't know you can start a shell from the setup. How did you take screenshots of the setup, though?!

comment How to move folder in unix using mv, only when target is on the same drive
Just for spreading the better practice, use $(...) instead of `...`. The later is deprecated in favor of the former.

look for programs that try to recover deleted files from hard disk. Make sure to make as few changes to your hard disk as possible, as you may overwrite some of those files.

comment What's the difference between “su” with and without hyphen?
a "login shell" often means interactive shell. This is vs. a shell that just executes a script and exits.
