comment Terminal with session management and scrollback OS X
iTerm2 (code.google.com/p/iterm2) has some wacky built-in tmux support (code.google.com/p/iterm2/wiki/TmuxIntegration) -- maybe that will help? I use iTerm2, but not the built-in tmux; the built-in limitations were more cumbersome to me than the tmux "limitations" it was trying to overcome.

@studiohack - why do you keep editing my posts and deleting my "Thanks"? I find it rude.

comment Why is there an auto-connect delay to a hidden wireless network - Ubuntu 9.10
A late addition to this thread. Although my script above works, I eventually stopped needing it because I eventually stopped the hidden SSID altogether, thanks to articles like this one, that convinced me that hidden SSIDs were a waste of time: howtogeek.com/howto/28653/…

comment Emacs opens files in a new frame when opened with “open -a”
I don't know a thing about OSX so I can't provide anything concrete. If I were to debug this, though, I would throw some syntax error into find-file and then set debug-on-error to t and check out the stack trace for some clue as to how Emacs is being invoked. Adding an error to find-file could be as simple as copying the function definition to the lisp scratch buffer and adding a call to error in it (e.g. (error "cause stack trace"). NEVER CHANGE THE SOURCE FILE FOR find-file -- always do this in a scratch bufer!
