Hide the menus from the menu bar in OS X Both of those apps are great, but they require some sort of action be performed to show the menu extras. Some of the menulets have notifications or information that I would like to see without having to switch away from the current app that I am using. |

Hide the menus from the menu bar in OS X I have tried this and I like it. I don't know if it is worth the steep price though. |

Hide the menus from the menu bar in OS X In other words, menus are very application-dependent. Well, that's a bit of a bother. Maybe I'll just play around and try and change things for the ones that annoy me the most. |

Hide the menus from the menu bar in OS X Ok, this is helpful, a place to start if nothing else. However, I tried and opened the MainMenu.nib bundle from Firefox.app in Interface Builder, but it only has one button, so the rest of the menu has to be somewhere else. |

Why does my DD-WRT not accept SSH connections from my laptop? @Paul Sorry, I should have done that when I asked the question, before I changed my setup (I was frustrated). Now all I have is my memory and the possibility to revert to the original setup, which takes time and patience, both of which I lack. I'll update the question with a few more details though, from memory. |

Why does my router log crazy amounts of blocked traffic on port 1701? now it's logging crazy amount of activity on port 445. i guess it really was just background radiation. |

Why does my router log crazy amounts of blocked traffic on port 1701? No, I am not attempting to VPN and I can't imagine any reason for thousands of different IPs from the internet trying to VPN to my machine. |

Why does my router log crazy amounts of blocked traffic on port 1701? Thanks for the thorough answer. Neither 1 nor 2 fully explain what's going on here though. The thing is, there are a lot of requests like this every second, each from a different source IP, and always on UDP 1701. If this is just background internet radiation, why does it look so uniform? I can't imagine everyone on the internet is getting bombarded with 5 VPN requests every second they are connected. |
