In the past, I have seen such a setup working. If I remember right, a bar code font also needs to be installed.

comment How to check if a date is within a given range in Microsoft excel
A hint: You can use the IF function. You need to a put formula, where you want X to be displayed. Something like =IF(Condition,CHAR(88),CHAR(32)). So if the condition is true it will display X, else BLANK. Now work on the Condition part of your problem.

Try using Portable version [portableapps.com/apps/development/notepadpp_portable] of notepad++ so that you can install without Administrator rights.

comment Time format of Pomodoro in LibreOffice Calc
Yes, it is working at least in the cases I tried: I copied the formula from F4 in F5. Then entered 5 in B5 cell. Now enter =F5-F4 in F6, =F4+F5 in F7. You will now see 2:05 in F5, :25 in F6, 4:10 in F7 etc.

Try =TIME(INT(B4*25/60), MOD(B4*25,60),0) in F4, where F4 is having hh:mm format, to get the desired results.
