Is there any way of finding out the printable area of a specific page type for a printer? When I try by installing only a printer driver, and no physical device, I only get warned that my margins are very small, and asked if I want to proceed. There is no 'Fix' option. This makes me think that sometimes the printer can tell the computer it's margin dimensions. |

Word Processor Margins versus Printable Area of Paper My situation was that I thought my paper size was A5. It looked so much so I didn't measure, but it was some mm smaller. So printing on A5 with modified margins (all carefully measured with a ruler) did solve the immediate problem for me. |

Word Processor Margins versus Printable Area of Paper So a practical way of producing a document that has margins outside of the printable area of the paper is to use a virtual larger paper size, then physically trim the printed documents to reduce the eventual real margin. |
