Excel: What formula to use to return the minimum or maximum of a set of lookup values?
That does not make much sense. Prepare a sample file with the "before" and the "after" scenario. Post it on your favourite file sharing site and share a link here. Describe your requirements in plain words that form rules. Update your question to reflect these requirements. In short: manually mock up what you want to see as the result of automation. Provide sample files and the rules that lead from current state to desired state. |

Fine. Update your question to reflect these requirements. Comments are not meant to be used to describe the use case. |

What is the question? - Based on the simplified screenshot above, what value would you want to return? What is the logic in simple words? Your question title says "highest/lowest lookup value from a table". Nice buzz words. How do they relate to the data sample? |

Is it possible to recover cells with hidden content wiped out upon opening with LibreOffice
No, I'm not a Libre Office user. If your problem relates to Libre Office only, please remove the Excel tags, since Excel rules no longer apply to whatever you're doing. As I said above: take it out with Libre. |

I cannot understand how Libre Office would remove cell contents based on cell formatting. This just does not make sense. Like if the cell is formatted with RED font, remove, otherwise keep. Same for: if the cell is formatted with "nothing for positive; nothing for negative; nothing for zeroes; nothing for text" -- which in Excel convention is the custom format ";;;" - remove cell content, otherwise keep? -- I have plenty of Excel versions installed on several computers and virtual machines. So I can confirm that in Excel, these formats are not a problem. You may need to take it up with Libre. |

select options from a drop down list multiple times in excel 2013
Your question is not clear. How exactly are the cells on the second worksheet populated? With formulas or with VBA? A sample file or a more detailed description of your data structure would also be helpful. |

What happens if you reference such a cell in a formula like =A1 ?? If this returns 0 then the cell is empty. |
