comment Excel: How to skip specific rows when importing a CSV
@Yuck can you substantiate that? Based on your perception of Excel's capabilities in a very unlikely scenario you downvote?

@Yuck Nope what? What if he has? What's 100,000 rows? Excel can handle ten times as many. He can still import all rows and delete the first and last one. Instead of downvoting, offer something better.

comment Convert text string in Tuesday, January 27, 2015 - 1:00 AM format to mm/dd/yyyy hh:mm format
The date portion is a bit trickier. There is the DATEVALUE() function which you can feed a text string, but what text is recognised depends on your regional settings, i.e. DMY vs. MDY. What shall it be?

As a volunteer who spends precious free after hours and weekend time to answer questions here without any personal gain, reading "I'm too lazy" does not really tickle my fancy. I'm moving on. Good luck

Unless you want to use VBA to automate things, the solution from charting guru Jon Peltier in your link is the way to go.

comment How to create an Excel Macro that works with any Excel workbook on my computer?
Tony, do us a favour and put a few more words into your question, so it is clear that you want the macros to run in any Excel file. State your version. It would be ridiculous to close a question as "unclear" that has an accepted answer.

@Twisty I can't believe you're asking this. That's what the flipping file is for. But for the record: Yep. It does contain macros/VBA. BTW, try googling for personal.xlsm. You'll find that Google serves results for personal.xlsb instead. Coz that's what Excel uses.

@Twisty Without changing the extension, the Personal workbook has xlsb on my system using XL 2013 on Win 8.1 and on the other machine with 2010 and Win 7.

@mdpc it's tagged with Excel, so I think you can ignore any spreadsheet system that is not Excel, no?

comment In Excel 2010 - Trying to get the cell address from where a formula got its answer
It takes less than a minute to create a Dropbox account. You may already have a OneDrive account. Or a Google account. All these can be used to share files. Without a data sample I cannot picture how ' "Vault" represents several areas on the raw data page for the vault scores not all in the same column.' If you want to reverse the formula that uses "Vault" then we need to know what "Vault" consists of. Better than a screenshot would be a sample file. Again, Dropbox, OneDrive, Google.

comment Excel formula to calculate the total time spent on various tasks
Mock up the desired result in your spreadsheet. Enter the numbers manually. Take a screenshot. Upload that to a free file sharing site, since you cannot yet post images. Post the link here.

comment Adding Index to Match formula
The last G:G is the column where the Match function looks for a match to the value of the Max function. Match(what,where,0). The "what" is your Max function. The "Where" is G:G. That will return a number. This number is then fed to Index(A:A, number)
