comment How can I create a macro to compile a CoffeeScript file I am editing from inside VIM?
That's my fault. I forgot to escape the spaces. I revised my answer.

comment Windows 7 search does not return results from indexed folders
This fixed my problem, except I had to recursively add SYSTEM permissions to all files and folders in the folder that wasn't indexing.

comment The risk of vim -Z (rvim)
Although I don't frequent it, there's security.stackexchange.com. I don't know if your question would be appropriate there.

To be clear, when you use sudoedit, you don't have to use rvim/vim -Z (the two are the same thing, just different ways of invoking it).

This really is outside the scope of this site. It's better to only allow the use of sudoedit, which runs the editor as the normal user then only uses root power to replace the file with the new edited version.

comment How to prevent security flows caused by sudo vim?
There are merits and drawbacks to both methods. Just pick the one you find most convenient.

comment Console window needs to be resized before launching VIM in SSH session
I'm sorry, but I'm confused about what your problem is. It's clear that you have a size issue, but beyond that I can't seem to figure out what exactly is going on.

revised Up arrow in gnome terminal to review command line history ignores commands with leading whitespace. Is there a workaround?
Even though at first glance this appears it may be related to Vim, it isn't--tag removed to prevent erroneous search results.
