I'm not an avid programmer, but I'm always eager to file a bug, build from source, run beta and nightly versions, write a patch, or otherwise contribute in my own little way. Been using linux regularly since 1997, and have worked with Solaris, AIX, FreeBSD, HP/UX and other flavors of *nix enough to know my way around code and debugging :)

comment Perf samples too long, lowering kernel.perf_event_max_sample rate to
the perf samples log line is just an informative message; "perf samples are done in some very critical code paths (NMIs). If they take too much CPU time, the system can lock up and not get any real work done. This will drop the sample rate when we detect that events are taking too long." - from the kernel patch. you're receiving messages that the kernel is choosing to throttle a performance monitoring system which may otherwise eat 100% of available CPU, so this isn't your culprit. fedora bug report

revised Make a bootable usb to install Windows XP from Linux
added instructions to avoid BSOD which could be caused by many many different possible hardware differences between emulated machine and actual hardware - and then made them make sense
