Try ls -ld /srv/http/cgi-bin and ls -l /srv/http/cgi-bin/h.py and paste the result. You probbaly have the -R flag in the wrong place. It needs to come first.

That's basically what I did, except I used a command-line one from MacPorts. I also just turned off the wireless on the Westell. It was flaky.

List view has similar shortcuts for folders. Left and right arrows expand and collapse folders. Cmd-option-right expands the entire hierarchy (save bundles).

My employer only has Dell monitors in inventory, so for my second display from my Macbook, I have to use a Dell monitor, which is the only thing exhibiting this behavior.

No, it shows up mostly in dark areas of the window body. I should have mentioned that it's a Mac too, oops.
