comment In Word, failure of numbered list under Heading
I completely agree. I was shocked to see it didn't work. But, now we know.

comment Is there a screen sharing/remote desktop app for mac that lets you use a different host screen resolution?
Yes. You have to be there to set it up. After that you can input the "master" code. Or just add it to your team viewer account and just click it.

Good question. I'll check tonight.

I'm unable to reproduce this. I keep getting numbered list. Could you upload a screen shot. And list the steps you are using?

comment Concatenating # with leading 0's in Excel
+1 for using the TEXT formatting function. In other words how ever many places your number "could" be add the "000000" zero's.

Since they are on the same network, one device will become the MASTER DHCP server in a broadcast scenario.

comment How to print 4 index cards on a single A4 sheet in Word 2003
You could get 3 on there. Two vertical and one horizontal.

As dma57361 suggested you need to set as labels. However, it still probably won't work unless you have a full bleed printer.

comment How to draw truly vertical or horizontal lines in PowerPoint
You can force it to vertical. Just click the line open the properties and select Size and Position. Then change the Width to 0 for vertical or the Height to 0 for horizontal.

comment Relocate a LAN cable without breaking the network
I'm guessing the cable is under carpet or something? Which would explain why you won't want to run new cable all the way? Yes, I don't see any reason why it wouldn't work.

comment Robocopy does not copy the root folder and its time stamp
Yep, I understand completely and have added a working solution below. The real problem is that you have to specify all the files and folders in the root NOT to copy.

Nope, c:*.* is invalid, you'll have to manually list all of the files.

Hmmm, I suppose you could use /XF c:*.* to exclude all the root files. I'll test that when I'm in front of a machine and not on a phone.

I wonder if Gabe's answer would help? After you turn off Cleartype.

comment Virus shuts down Avast
I agree with ChrisF, you could see if it is a root kit or boot kit that is still hooked. TDSSKiller which is linked above will detect both. Run it on this machine.

comment How do I make an external hard drive keep the same drive letter permanently?
Andy, don't know if you resolved the "I" drive share issue. If not, I'll post something up on how to share it. edit: Added it anyway.

You can use net use without putting in a drive letter. Just omit the drive letter and add the username and password.

comment Terminal Server - Task Manager disapears Windows 2003 Server
My thoughts. A number of Viruses have this behavior. Wouldn't be a bad idea to do a scan. Also, if you right click it in the notification area try turning off Always on Top (this probably won't do anything, but hey, it's an option). When you right click Task Manager on it's minimized state on the taskbar is the move option available? If so, maybe it is on a phantom monitor, use arrow keys to move back. I'm guessing you have tried the Restore option and the Maximize option from the right click menu? Have you tried start > run > taskmgr when task manager is minimized?

comment Printing on a PC - Can I set up multiple profiles for the same printer?
Yep, I do this all the time with color printers, so one can use B&W or color without having to change the profiles.
