comment Take a screen shot from command line in Windows
It still doesn't work for me. I get a screenshot, but only the X applications show up (as expected).

comment How can I make unix sort work properly using the underscore as a field separator?
PS: I never knew this and was always puzzled by sort -k's behaviour, untill this question triggered me to find out what was going on. So thanks a lot for asking!

comment How to get WYSIWYP (print what you see) in a web browser?
@SBoss: Yes, print stylesheets are useful. That doesn't imply I want to use them. My question is: what to do if I don't.

comment How can a file size be zero?
This answer is wrong: there is definitely a file (it has all properties of a file, such as an owner and access permissions), there is just no content in the file.

This does work on Windows, with Cygwin, but only for capturing Cygwin (X) windows.

Thanks for you help, by the way.

comment Automatically taking screenshots with IrfanView: shortcut not working at startup
@Karan: I tried both; neither work. For the scheduled task, the problem seems to be that it has to run as SYSTEM and cannot access my screen. A login script doesn't work at all (not even one that just echoes a line to a logfile).

comment Automatically taking screenshots with IrfanView: shortcut not working at startup
@Karan: I just tried. Nothing shows up in the logfile at all. Not even when I place the batchfile itself in the startup folder. Other shortcuts are working fine.

comment Automatically taking screenshots with IrfanView: shortcut not working at startup
@Karan: I am just trying to get this to work. If you can tell me how to do it with Windows utilities I'll be happy.

comment Automatically taking screenshots with IrfanView: shortcut not working at startup
I put a shortcut to the batch file in the startup directory. In the actual script, echo is on, but I haven't tried logging the output, thanks!

comment How to get WYSIWYP (print what you see) in a web browser?
Indeed, I discovered some really annoying side effects from using this software, and uninstalled it for that reason.

comment Are there any security or performance implications of changing the user-agent in a browser?
None at all. I don't believe any browser behaves differently based on how you set its User-Agent string.
