comment Is there any benefit from installing Windows 7 64-bit when you have less than 4GB of RAM?
The cost for a certificate needed to sign drivers and any other code is around $200. You can get one, I can get one, anyone can. No testing is implied. Signing just proves the driver's provenance - it tells you nothing about whether it's any good. You can sign and distribute driver that does nothing but waits 10 minutes after being started and then purposefully crashes the system.

It's impossible to ask HP anything without paying money for it first, I'm afraid.

comment CMD: Append to path without duplicating it?
@wmz I only found about it because I ran into a path that triggered it :( It was a relative path with dots, like foo\..\bar

@wmz echo d\. | findstr /c:"d\." fails, but echo d\. | find "d\." succeeds

findstr is the wrong utility to use. It will gladly interpret some of the backsplashes as escapes. find works great, though.

comment How to generate PDF documentation for LLVM?
Except that it will be a snapshot of a hypertext document that was styled for the web. I don't believe that Sphinx comes with stylesheets (and content!) that render reasonably on paper. For example, the table of contents will be missing. What you propose is of course a valid solution if latex isn't available.

comment Should I wait for OS X Mavericks
I think this answer should be deleted as it is obsolete. We now all know that it's a "free" update (if your time is free, too :).
