I live in the greater Toronto area (Canada), and have been programming professionally since 1994. I’m currently developing in C#, building ASP.NET web applications against SQL Server (usually) databases.

Some items of interest about me are :

  • I just started a blog ... we'll see how it goes.
  • I talk endlessly on Twitter (@JohnMacIntyre)
  • I completed my profile only to get the badge. I'm a badge grabber.
  • ... oh yeah .. I also unabashedly use smileys. :-D

Thanks. I like that command separator a hell of a lot better as well.

comment Recommendations for utility to paste plain text?
@ChrisF - I could compose my emails in plain text, but sometimes you need to paste in images as well, and my current corporate signature requires formatting. And besides, there are other places other than word where I want to paste as plain text (although I can't think of an example now). ... but thanks for the response.

Yeah, I've used that, but I can't do that with Outlook ... even though I believe Outlook uses the Word editor.

comment Can anybody recommend a Windows system monitoring tool similar to iPulse for the Mac?
I'm familiar with SysInternals, but want something that's always running. I've adjusted my question so clarify. Thanks anyway.
