comment Why are pixels square?
I don't have nearly enough rep on this site, but I agree with the migrators. This question has everything to do with UX and not much with SU.

comment My computer reboots when I tell it to shutdown
Stupid question, but I have the same problem (also with Linux), and how can I see if I have Moschip devices in my computer? lspci doesn't show anything by that name. It does show several PCIE devices.

comment How do I auto-accept all website cookie warnings?
Judging by the different answers, you should clarify the question. Is "it" the browser or the webpage?

comment On OS X, why does `sudo ls` show hidden (dot) files?
Interesting find. Is there also a way to suppress hidden files when doing an ls?

comment Can Linux OS Boot off MBR in Native UEFI?
I thought the whole idea behind UEFI was that you couldn't boot off the MBR, because you now have a new and shiny EFI partition that is much better.

comment Is it possible to cd with command line through a folder to a shortcut
In Linux, it depends. There are many types of desktops, and many types of icons you can place on the desktop! A quick test in Windows shows that it doesn't work. Neither cd FolderName nor cd FolderName.lnk do what I want.

comment How to add a user-agent style sheet to firefox browser?
Like I said, I'm not sure. I've never designed themes. But there is a possibility that the css in the theme will override your userChrome.css, especially when it contains !important. So you should have a look at those. Other than that, I won't be able to help you, because I'm no more an expert at themes than you are. Sorry.

I'm not sure, but I think that things like that may be determined by the theme. Take a look at the xpi files in the extensions subfolder.

comment 32 BIT PC for Development/Programming?
Do you have any reason to assume that they don't? I mean, it's not like 32 bit computers are some form of obscure technology with no support from Microsoft.

comment why i can't run binary from /home path
Off topic, but is test a program from a trusted source? If not, or if you wrote and compiled it yourself, it might be a better idea to run it as a normal user rather than as root.

Or, if you click on "nnn important downloads are available", you can select the updates you want to install now. So select a small number of files and then let it run. Repeat tomorrow.

Well, you can stop the downloading of updates and run Windows Update again tomorrow and it will pick up where if left off - not downloading the files again that it downloaded today. But I'm not sure if it resumes downloading a file that was partially downloaded when you interrupted. Anyway, how big an issue is that? I assume the 2.4 GB is not one big file, is it?

Like I said, experimenting a bit. I've also got Netscape 3.0 installed. Call it a hobby.
